Recognition of the Outstanding Watershed District of the Year State award won at the South Carolina Association of Conservation Disricts (SCADC) Conference held in January, 2023, in Greenville, South Carolina. This award showcased the Board's partnerships with the Conservation District, local sponsor Lancaster County Water and Sewer District and Lancaster County government.
Points to Consider:
The Watershed Board of Directors and staff have worked hard to keep the watershed dams in good shape, as demonstrated by this award.
Funding and Liability Factors:
The County does provide funding to the Lancaster Soil and Water Conservation District.
