Council Action Requested:
Provide recognition to County employees in celebration of April as National County Government month. This year, the County created the RISE award, which was based on this year's National County Government month's theme: Counties RISE! Our County's RISE award recognizes Resiliency, Innovation, Service, and Excellence among our employees.
Points to Consider:
This annual celebration encourages County's to actively promote the services and programs they offer to their citizens and the RISE award is an excellent opportunity for us to highlight our highly capable County workforce.
During the month of March, employees were asked to nominate coworkers who have gone above and beyond in resiliency, innovation, service and excellence. The County received a total of 23 nominations for the RISE awards and we will be recognizing the top employee in each of the four categories.
