Council Action Requested:

Application by YDG Doby’s Bridge Land LLC for a Conditional Use permit for a .64 acre site at intersection of Charlotte Highway 521 and Doby’s Bridge Road (TM # 0013-00-018.11), to allow development of a drive-through oil-change facility.  (a/k/a Valvoline).



Points to Consider:

Access to this site must be located through the recently approved Conditional Use Plan for the Tidal Wave Auto Spa. This is due to internal access being required in the Highway Corridor Overlay District. Access is being shown both on the approved Tidal Wave plans and the proposed Valvoline plans. An egress/deed is in the process of being worked on between the two parties.

Recommendation:

Planning Commission voted a unanimous recommendation for approval during their April 2023 Meeting. 

 

Staff stated that the proposed site does meet the requirements for the Conditional Use Permit as long as access for the site is achieved via the Tidal Wave Auto Spa.
