Approve the budget amendment via Ordinance 2023-1880.
Points to Consider:
This budget amendment provides for the donation of $400,000 to the new State Park on the Nesbit property off of Van Wyck Road, which Council approved out of Executive Session on 6/12/2023. The funds would be paid to Open Space Institute, as one of several funding partners, for purchase of the land.
This budget amendment also provides for a transfer out of the general fund into the Sheriff's Department budget for $55,000.00 for new uniforms for his Department.
Funding and Liability Factors:
Both components of the budget amendment will be from General Fund — Fund Balance totaling $455,000.
