Lancaster County submitted eight nominations for the 2024 National Association of Counties (NACo) Awards Program and received Achievement Awards for six of the nominations, including:

 

  • Lancaster County Library Seed Program
  • Student Mock County Council Meeting: Fostering Youth Civic Engagement
  • Veterans Court with the Solicitor's Office 
  • Civics 101 community engagement program
  • "Day in the Life" of a Sheriff's Office employee video
  • Implementing GIS To Meet the Needs of a Growing County

 

This is the first time that the County has received six NACo Achievement Awards at one time.
