Council will receive a comprehensive status update on the $19,000,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funds awarded to Lancaster County. The update includes specific progress reports on key projects, including the efforts toward identifying a suitable location for the new Coroner facility, the status of the Sheriff's Evidence Storage Building, and the Emergency Management Storage facility.
Review the projects update from American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. Council will be asked to make funding decisions at a subsequent meeting.

Lancaster County was allocated $19,037,681.64 through the American Rescue Plan Act as part of the COVID-19 Pandemic recovery. To date the County has expended or assigned $17,537,681 to over 34 projects, leaving $1.5 million to be assigned or re-allocated from the Barnett Building Renovation project. All ARPA funds must be encumbered ( on purchase orders or contracts) by December 31, 2024, and expended by December 31, 2026.
Funding and Liability Factors:
Funding factors include ensuring that all funds are allocated/encumbered by December 31, 2024.
Recommendation:
Review the list of ARPA funded projects in preparation of providing input on the remaining projects to be funded in the August/September timeframe.
