Council Action Requested:

Approve the Resolution changing the speed limit on Regent Parkway from 35 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour.

Points to Consider:

The York County side of Regent Parkway has a posted speed limit of 25 miles per hour and Lancaster wants to lower the speed limit on their side to match the York County side.

 

The lower speed limit is another strategy to help with traffic safety to  reduce the number of traffic accidents and off-road incidents along the roadway.



Funding and Liability Factors:

There are no funding factors for changing the speed limit.



Recommendation:

Approve the Resolution.
