Council Action Requested:

Approve the Resolution related to receiving the grant and grant match from the federal government to replace the culvert on Plyler Road.

Optimize sources of non-property tax funding to advance the priorities of the County.
Points to Consider:

The County has applied for a US Fish and Wildlife, Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act – National Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grant for culvert replacement on Plyler Road.

 

Total federal funds awarded is $347,000.00, but the total cost of project is approximately $647,000.00. The grant match for the County will not exceed $300,000.00.



Funding and Liability Factors:

The grant match of not to exceed $300,000.00 will be funded through the grant match account that Council appropriated in the FY 2024-25 budget.



Recommendation:

Staff recommends approval of the grant match Resolution.
